Suryakumar Yadav's scintillating run in IPL 2025 saw him shatter a time-honored record. The Mumbai Indians star narrowly missed a half-century but put the Orange Cap back on his head with yet another bang. He scored 25 or more runs in his innings against RR, making 11 consecutive innings of 25 runs or more in all matches, effectively breaking Robin Uthappa's long-standing record of KKR.

In the IPL of 2025, the MI batsman dazzled again in Jaipur, carrying on with his fine form. Suryakumar overtook Sai Sudharsan for a piece of land under the sun with consistent showings throughout this season, regaining the Orange Cap.
Suryakumar has maintained a batting average of 25+ in every game so far at age 33, which has played a great role in the Mumbai team winning by big margins. Following a strong start from Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar partnered with captain Hardik Pandya to take their score past 200.
