There is no dearth of horror movie fans in Bollywood, but in the last few years we have seen an interesting mix of horror-comedy and this new trend of storytelling has attracted a lot of audiences. Continuing this trend, Sanjay Dutt has come to the box office with his new horror-comedy film ‘Bhootni’. Sanjay Dutt’s Bhootni is not as amazing as Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree’. But this film entertains you well. Sanjay Dutt has put his heart and soul into the entire film. Children will like this film more than adults. Let us now talk about the film in detail.

The story begins with the Virgin Tree. Some people consider this tree located in St. Vincent College to be cursed. It is said that the ghost living on this tree wakes up every year on Valentine’s Day. This ghost targets someone every year in search of true love and the boy targeted by the ghost on Valentine’s Day dies on Holi. This year Shantanu (Sunny Singh) has become the target of a ghost and the college administration calls ‘Ghostbuster’ Krishna Tripathi (Sanjay Dutt) to get rid of this ghost. Will this Ghostbuster be able to kill the ghost, or will there be a new twist in this story? To know this, you will have to go to the theater and watch ‘The Ghost’.

how is the movie?

This film, presented to us as a horror story, has less fear and more comedy. That is why the film ‘The Ghost’ seems incomplete. Compared to films like ‘Stree’ and ‘Munjya’, in this film, only Mouni Roy’s screams are heard under the guise of horror. It is not at all pleasant to watch. The film is saved by its comedy and Sanjay Dutt’s action. This film is like those old films which you should enjoy at home with your mind. The film seems as boring in the first half as it is fun to watch in the second half.

Directing and writing

The film is directed by Siddhant Sachdev and the story of the film is also his. He has written the screenplay along with Vankush Arora. Vankush, who wrote for ‘Comedy Circus’, has written amazing comedy dialogues for this film too. But in the first part the story becomes so boring that even good comedy starts to seem ineffective. The plot of the story is good, but the director has wasted 20 minutes before reaching the main point. Sanjay Dutt’s entry in the film was also late. After his entry the film becomes a little interesting and then in the second part we start enjoying it.

How is the acting?

If someone tells us that if we shoot a dead ghost with another gun, it can die, we will think he is a fool. But Sanjay Dutt gives the impression with his acting that he can kill ghosts with his gun and other weapons. From ‘Vaastav’ to ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Munnabhai MBBS’, Sanjay Dutt makes the impossible possible with his acting in every film and seeing his natural acting, we also trust him as always.

Sunny Singh has not been able to show anything special in the role of ‘Shantanu’. Palak is good, she left her mark in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ despite getting less screen space. Asif Khan and Nikunj Sharma have also done a good job. Nikunj creates content under the name ‘Be Unique’. He is the surprise package in this film. There is nothing new in Mouni Roy’s ‘Bhootni’. Like all her films, she has acted well in this film too. Actually, there is a scene in the film where Palak is shown as a ‘ghost’, this scene may be of a few minutes, but there Palak has left Mouni behind in terms of acting.

Should I watch it or not?

‘The Ghost’ is a film worth watching once. Many such films have been made before and we have enjoyed them a lot. But now the audience does not leave their brains at home. After Corona, so much content is available on OTT that films like ‘The Bhootni’ can be easily watched at home. This film does not have ‘start to finish’ comedy like ‘Madgaon Express’ and the director has not given any strong message through this film like ‘Stree’ and ‘Munjya’. But if you are a fan of Sanjay Dutt then you will like this film. This film can definitely be shown to children in summer holidays, because the horror shown in it is perfect for them.
