Thane Water Cut: Beginning tomorrow, May 2, the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has declared a 24-hour water supply disruption. Due to repairs being done in different regions of the city, the water cut has been declared. From 9 a.m. on Friday, May 2, until 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, there will be no water at all.

According to the Free Journal, Thane Municipal Corporation sent out an X post in Marathi to notify the locals of the outage. Thane’s water supply is provided by the STEM authority. The service will be temporarily suspended for a whole day by the authorities. Thane Municipal Corporation has responded by implementing a tiered distribution strategy that makes use of its reserves to provide restricted water supply and avoid a total closure in all regions. Several areas will nonetheless have a complete 24-hour water outage in spite of this effort.

Dongripada, Waghbil, Patlipada, Balkum, Brahmand, Pawar Nagar, Kothari Compound, and Ghodbunder Road. Samata Nagar, Ritu Park, Siddheshwar, Eternity, Johnson, Jail, Saket, Uthalsar, Retibandar, Kalwa, and portions of Mumbra would also be without water.

Residents in the impacted regions are encouraged to stockpile enough water for a 24-hour period and not to worry, as the outage is planned and the restoration is expected to happen quickly. Additionally, TMC promised that service will be restored at 9 a.m. on Saturday and asked everyone to comply throughout the repair activities.
