Bihar Public Service Commission has invited applications for more than one thousand posts of Assistant Engineer. The application process will start from today i.e. 30th April and will continue till 28th May 2025. Candidates who want to apply for these posts can apply online by visiting the official website of BPSC bpsc.bih.nic.in. A total of 1024 posts of Assistant Engineer will be filled under this recruitment drive.

BPSC AE Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria: What are the eligibility criteria?
Educational Qualification- Candidates who wish to apply for these posts should have a degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from any Indian University/Institute (AICTE approved) or a degree obtained in regularly conducted technical courses from deemed universities recognized by the University Grants Commission. Degrees obtained in technical courses conducted through distance education will not be valid.
Candidates must be an Associate Member of the Institute of Engineering or must have passed Branch-A and B from the Institute of Engineers, India or must have obtained other degrees by passing equivalent examination of Branch-A and B from an institute recognized by the Institute of Engineers, India.
Age Limit- The age limit of the candidates applying should be at least 21 years and maximum 37 years. However, reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules.

For general category candidates- Rs 750
For SC/ST candidates of Bihar state only- Rs 200
For all female candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar state- Rs 200
For differently abled candidates (40 percent or more)- Rs 200
For all other candidates- Rs 750
BPSC AE Recruitment 2025 Selection Process: What is the selection process?
Selection for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) will be done based on the calculation of marks obtained in the written examination (objective) conducted by the Selection Commission and the preference of work done on a contractual basis. There will be 6 papers in the written examination, out of which 4 papers will be compulsory and 2 papers will be optional. The papers of General English and General Hindi will be qualifying only, in which it will be mandatory to get at least 30 marks in each i.e. other papers will be evaluated only after obtaining the minimum prescribed marks separately in both the papers.
